VERONICA TOWNSEND, ESQ., OWNER

Veronica is a proud, lifelong Sussex Countian whose family has lived here for generations. She graduated from the University of Delaware in 2015 with her Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, where she was a member of the All-Girl Cheerleading Squad. Veronica went on to attend Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, North Carolina where she graduated in December 2017. While at Elon Law, Veronica was the Student Bar Association President, Membership Editor of the Elon Law Review, and completed a semester-in-practice residency in the Elon Law Small Business & Entrepreneurship Clinic. In the summer of 2017, Veronica worked at the firm as a law clerk and eventually transitioned into a role as a full-time attorney at our office in 2018 upon her passing of the Maryland and Delaware Bar Exams. In January of 2022, Veronica gratefully accepted the reins from Susan and took over the practice as owner. Veronica handles real estate settlements, estate planning, will and trust creations, and forming business entities. Veronica’s zest for life resonates in her practice of the law, where she enjoys serving her local community by offering her legal skills, as well as her positive attitude, to our clients.

SUSAN PITTARD GARDNER (WEIDMAN), ESQ., OF COUNSEL

Susan, a native Delawarean, graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She received her law degree from George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia in 1988. Susan practiced in many areas before focusing on Real Estate law. In 2004, she opened the Law Office of Susan Pittard Weidman, P.A. where she focused her practice areas on real estate and estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney and probate, as well as assisting clients with starting new businesses, including forming corporations and limited liability companies. After a fulfilling career of serving clients at her own practice in our local community, Susan officially transitioned into an Of Counsel role and passed the firm ownership onto Veronica in January of 2022. Susan resides in Dagsboro with her husband, Brad, and dog, Sammie, and in her current chapter of living life beyond practicing the law, she enjoys traveling and visiting her only child, her daughter, Rachael, in Washington DC.
