We first used The Weidman & Townsend, P.A. for the closing on our new home in Frankford DE. We then learned that the office specialized in estate planning as well. We needed to update our will from out of state, so we decided to stay with the firm.

SPEAKING / PRESENTATIONS
On January 17, 2012, Susan Pittard Weidman, P. A., and two of her associates were guest speakers at the monthly luncheon meeting of the Southern Delaware Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA). The threesome presented timely, pertinent information on legal services critical to our membership, such as estate planning, wills and revocable trusts, and durable powers of attorney.
The presentations were informative and tailored to the audience, which consisted primarily of seniors. Favorable comments were received from our members, many of whom indicated they plan to take action after hearing the talk. Although the speakers identified services available from their Law Office, there was no hint of marketing. The presentations were well received, and we were appreciative that three busy attorneys took the time to come and speak to our group. Thirty-six members and their guests attended the meeting, which was the largest crowd in several years.

On Tuesday, February 14th, the AARP Chapter 5226 had its monthly luncheon meeting, at Cripple Creek Golf and Country Club.
The Program was “Elder Law” presented by Susan Weidman and Meaghan Hudson.
The response was overwhelming: First there were 117 attendees, which is a record turnout. Second the program was excellent. The attorneys provided information on Wills, Trusts, Living Wills, Durable power of attorney and recent Delaware updates on these documents. It was presented as an open forum, which provided the audience an opportunity to ask questions, interact and thus gather valuable insight and information.
Informational packets were supplied to the attendees by the attorneys.
The feedback has been positive and tremendous from the chapter members.
We thank Susan and Meaghan for taking the time from their busy schedules. They gave the members the opportunity to hear and hopefully implement a plan to update their necessary and important documents.
